Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. Model as well as an Irish actress. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as the Bond actress with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modeling after being approached by an experienced photographer. This led to a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. She was cast in a minor role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the casting director. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character in Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role ever in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. The roles she played included a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust as well as the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons on E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018, she won the Almeria award for best film and received a Star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
